COVID-19 is causing displacement and death in all 19 of the countries where AJWS works—threatening the lives and livelihoods of some of the world’s most vulnerable people across Africa, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean.
And we will not abandon them.
Right now, AJWS is working with each of our grantees to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are supporting local organizations who are distributing humanitarian aid, including food, soap, hand sanitizer and protective masks—as well as installing handwashing stations in densely populated areas. We've developed and distributed a toolkit for our grantees and their communities sharing internationally recognized practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19, monitor symptoms and care for sick relatives—which we’ve made available in Hindi, Nepali, Rohingya, Spanish, Kreyol and more.
And as uncertainty plagues the world, AJWS is guaranteeing a dependable source of funding for the organizations we support. We are listening to our grantees—making grants flexible, so they can be used to address critical needs as they arise. Get Started
