How do I start a campaign?
- On the Fundraise page and click the “Get Started” button.
- Enter your information to register and click the “Start Fundraising” button to go to your Participant Center.
- Personalize your page with a photo or video and tell your story.
- Kickstart you campaign by making a personal donation.
- Invite friends and family to contribute to your campaign by sending e-mails through your Participant Center and sharing your campaign on social media.
- Track your fundraising progress in your Participant Center and send thank you e-mails to your donors.
Where does the money I raise go?
American Jewish World Service (AJWS) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization—all funds donated through fundraising campaign pages go to support our mission and programs wherever the need is greatest.
Are donations to my campaign tax deductible?
Yes, all donations made to American Jewish World Service (AJWS) are tax deductible and your donors will receive a receipt by e-mail.
What is my Participant Center?
When you register to fundraise for AJWS, you get your own Participant Center where you can update your page with your story and photo and send e-mails to your contacts inviting them to visit your page and contribute to your campaign. You can also track your fundraising progress and send thank you e-mails to your donors.
What do I do if I have trouble logging in?
When you register to fundraise, you’ll receive an e-mail with your user name and password. If you’ve forgotten your user name or password, use the “Forgot User Name?” or “Forgot Password?” links on the right-hand side of the log-in page. If you continue to have trouble, e-mail Clara Shapiro at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How can I edit the text on my page?
Log into your Participant Center and go to the “Personal Page” tab. On the “Content” page you can edit the page title and body text.
How can I add a photo or video to my page?
Log into your Participant Center and go to the “Personal Page” tab. Click “Photos/Video” on the right-hand menu and upload a photo from your computer or enter a YouTube video URL.
How can I change my page URL?
Log into your Participant Center and go to the “Personal Page” tab. Click on the “URL Settings” link and enter your custom URL.
How can I change my campaign goal?
Log into your Participant Center and go to the “Progress” tab. Click on the “Change” link next to “My Goal,” and enter your new goal amount and hit “Submit.”
Will I know who donated to my campaign?
Your campaign page will list all of your donors (unless they indicate that they want to donate anonymously). You can also track donations to your campaign in your Participant Center.
Can people donate to my campaign by check?
If your donors prefer to write a check, they can make it out to American Jewish World Service and send it to the address below. Please ask your donors to note your name or the name of your campaign on the check.
