Take action against the expanded global gag rule

But this new version weaponizes foreign assistance in unprecedented ways, placing a stranglehold not only on billions in U.S. funding but on lifesaving support from other countries and NGOs.

Dear members of Congress,

As a supporter of American Jewish World Service, I am horrified that the Trump administration is placing politics over people’s lives by expanding the global gag rule to cause deliberate harm to people all over the world. This decision weaponizes foreign assistance, forces the administration’s harmful agenda on the most vulnerable, and bullies countries to fall in line or risk losing critical support.

I believe that the U.S. should not be exporting hate as the cost for receiving assistance and that people should be able to live their lives without political interference from any nation, and that U.S. foreign policy should be evidence-based rather than hate-based. Please do all that you can to fight back against this dangerous and cruel expansion of the global gag rule.
